[health] Gout - diet and detox

My dad was suffered from gout for almost 3 weeks, and we came to realize the importance of gout diet.

We can easily find low purine diet online, such as this PDF file. We also need to consider the pH scale of food , and increase alkaline food to help lower the plasma uric acid level.

While sleeping, the blood tend to be gathered in the feet area, which causes serious morning pain. So we try to put a pillow under my dad's feet and the situation was eased.

We also used some fruit juice/tea as detox grinks.

1. Drink plenty of Pu-erh tea.

2. Apple juice:
Whole apple cut into cubes, and brew in 900cc of water until boiled, wait for another few minutes until apple cubes are soften and the color of tea is golden.
Serve in warm, and take as daily drink.

3. Papaya tea:
Take half of a GREEN papaya for one day consumption. Slice the green papaya into pieces, and brew in 600cc of water, after boiled, turn to mild heat and brew for 30 minutes. After that, sink in some tea leaf or a tea bag of your choice, Green Tea, Oolong Tea, or Pu-erh Tea. Black tea is not recommended. Let the tea sit for about 1 minutes, and add some brown sugar of your choice.
Serve in warm, and take regularly to help clean your body.

I found Papaya tea is very useful in letting out the extra water in body.
